Avoid them at all costs to keep from losing Rings. The first thing that the player will notice in Digital Circuit's Expert Mode is that there are more firewalls in the light-speed circuit. Reach the Goal Ring containing the Chaos Emerald. The core is past the Goal Ring, after an unforgiving, painful climb. By jumping into said Warp Hole, the player is teleported to secret light-speed circuit, with it serving as a shortcut to the fifth Save Point.ĭestroy the "core" of the digital world (Cyber Space) in which the Stage takes place. The Secret Door is left of the fourth Save Point, with there being Warp Hole behind it. Once at the top, walk forward and use the Homing Attack to reach the highest green platform that will lead to the Key.
After the seventh Save Point, use the searchlight to go up. 
After the fifth Save Point, in the with the GUN Beetles, destroy the first three, and then land on the platform near two of the robots with the Key. Just after the fourth Save Point, hang on to the light beam and ride it up to where the Key is located. The Key is located on the lower level, below the entrance to the next light speed circuit. After coming out of the second light-speed circuit, there will be four Gun Beetles. 
In the light speed circuit after the second Save Point, take the first path on the right to get the Key. The following weapons can be found in Digital Circuit: The President then takes a look at a picture of Sonic and Shadow on his desk and adds that mankind must now defend the peace the two hedgehogs created when they saved the earth, and that they must stand united against the Black Arms. Responding to the call, the President informs them to tell the Commanding Generals that the United Federation will never surrender to terrorists. The caller also reports that the CIA's mainframe has been compromised, which they suspect the Black Arms are behind. According to the report, the United Federation's forces have managed to push the Black Arms out of Westopolis and suppress enemy forces in five other cities. In the meantime, at the White House, the President receives a phone call that informs him of a report from the Central Information Agency. Hero: Shadow decides to team up with Rouge and gets the third Chaos Emerald. Believing that Eggman can tell him about the Black Arms, Shadow heads out and trails Eggman to Cryptic Castle. Elsewhere, Shadow emerges from Digital Circuit via a machine in an Eggman Empire base. Dark: Shadow, still on the Black Arms' side, destroys the core program of the cyberspace and collects the third Chaos Emerald. After making his way further into Digital Circuit however, Shadow comes across Rouge the Bat, who explains that she is on a government assignment to track down a Chaos Emerald in the area, and offers Shadow to help look for the Emerald with her. Through it, Black Doom orders Shadow to find and delete the core program that the controls the data flow of the humans' information highway system, which will plunge the world into chaos. After adjusting to the sensations of cyberspace, Shadow makes his way forward and eventually encounters Doom's Eye. Having been warped into the mainframe by Black Doom with Chaos Control, Shadow arrives in Digital Circuit. Following his gruesome annihilation of the GUN Soldiers in Westopolis and acquisition of two Chaos Emeralds, Shadow follows Black Doom's next set of orders, which are to infiltrate the United Federation's mainframe.
